Senior GUI Developer

4sight is looking for a senior .Net Developer to join our
Development team.
The senior developer is expected to lead the GUI development at
4sight.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to progress your career

Job Description
The role involves:
- Impose and implement standards for UI
- Maintain software style standards
- Evaluate or write new controls that will enhance the UI experience
- Presenting solutions and providing code changes when required
- Managing multiple tasks while providing a high quality of software changes to the customer base
The candidate should have a number of the following skills and the willingness and ability to learn other new technologies where required.
- .Net 4 or higher (5 yrs Exp)
- WPF and XAML (3 yrs Exp)
- Database experience (basic experience)
- Experience in n-tier architecture
Although not essential for the role the following skills are also advantageous.
- Java
- Webservices
- SQL (Oracle and Sybase)
An ideal candidate would be someone with a strong working knowledge of the technical footprint described above and the willingness to expand your technical expertise through self-learning.
They are expected to mentor and help train junior staff.
Candidates must have strong communication skills and the ability
to analyse and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must have a valid UK work permit and the possible to
work in mainland Europe at short notice.

Intermediate Level Developer

4sight is looking for a Mid-Level software developer to join our
Application Development Group.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to continue to

innovative and fast growing financial services technology provider,
as well as gain valuable experience in financial markets and
business processes.
Job Description:
The role involves:
- Designing and building new software solutions as well as developing customer sponsored enhancements to existing applications.
- Working with junior and senior members of the development team on all areas of the development life-cycle.
- Managing multiple tasks whilst providing a high quality of software changes to the customer.
An ideal candidate would be someone with a strong working knowledge (at least 3 years' experience) in each of the following areas as well as the willingness and ability to expand their technical expertise as well as assist more junior members of the team:
- Oracle PL/SQL and/or Sybase T-SQL
- Java and/or C#
- Shell scripting
A second language or experience of working within the financial
services sector would be advantageous, but not essential.
Candidates must have strong communication skills and the ability
to analyse and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
Candidates must have a valid UK work permit.
